Release / Satisfaction of Lien

Releases a previously recorded lien, mortgage, or deed of trust once the underlying debt is paid.

Notice of Commencement (NOC)

Records the start of a construction project to establish lien priority for owners, contractors, and lenders.

Used in FL and several other states before most construction projects begin.

Notice to Owner

Preserves lien rights for subcontractors, suppliers, and laborers by notifying the property owner (and lender) that labor or materials are being furnished.

Subs and suppliers not in direct contract with the owner who need to protect mechanic's lien rights.
