- • Documentary transfer tax and any city transfer tax are calculated separately on conveyances.

Pages must be 8½" x 11" (letter). Legal-size or oversized pages add a non-conforming fee per page.

Leave the top 2½ inches of the first page clear — 5 inches from the left edge is reserved for the recorder's stamp.

Include the document title, return-to name and address, and the APN where applicable.

Notary acknowledgment must use current California statutory wording, including the required disclosure box.

A Preliminary Change of Ownership Report (PCOR) is required on transfers, or a $20 fee applies in lieu.
